DAP traces its roots back to 1865, when Robert h. Dicks and Elmer Wiggin began producing sealing wax for food-canning out of dick’ garage in Dayton, Ohio. Through innovation and Acquisition, the company continued to expand its product line. DAP entered into an exclusive marketing agreement with the worldwide leader in silicone technology in 1980 to market a full line of silicone sealants. In the mid 1980’s, wildwood branded adhesives came into the fold. Plastic wood brand was integrated into the DAP portfolio of products in the 90’s.

The Dap Weldwood FRP adhesive is designed specifically for the interior installation of fiberglass reinforced plastic panels. This trowel grade, latex-based formula for bonding FRP panels is fast setting, water-resistant, and non-flammable. It bonds to concrete surfaces, plaster, plywood and gypsum wallboard with a coverage of 40-to-50 feet per gallon. The white adhesive cleans up with soapy water while wet and mineral spirits when dry.
