Eaton’s GFCI Self-Test Tamper Resistant Duplex Receptacle provides protection from dangerous electrical shocks caused by ground faults. Our GFCI devices automatically self-test periodically to ensure GFCI protection and continuous safety. In addition to being tested to the highest standards to help ensure safety, Eaton’s GFCIs will deny power and prevent re-setting if the device is no longer able to provide safe, protected power. The built-in indicator lights provide quick notification of a tripped or “end of life” condition. Additionally, tamper resistant (TR) GFCIs feature a built-in UL listed safety shutter system that prevents the insertion of foreign objects into the receptacle openings.
- Performs self test to ensure integrity of GFCI protection, meaning an automatic test shall be initiated within 5 seconds of power availability to the line or load terminals, the automatic test shall be repeated at least every 3 hours
- The device will trip and will not reset if GFCI protection is not available
- A mid-size wall plate is included
- Trip indicator light notifies user of a tripped condition
- The status indicator light will glow red notifying the user there is no power and the device must be replaced
