The Defender 4-7/8 inch Armored Security box strike is constructed of steel and it comes in a brass-plated finish. It features a 1 inch deep box with a 3/4 inch width x 1-5/8 inch height rectangular opening on the faceplate and it comes with four 2 inch zinc plated screws. Base plate of this high-security box strike installs with two screws that insert through the base of the box to secure directly into 2 inch x 4 inch framing. Another pair of screws insert through the finished faceplate, the secondary base plate and fasten into the doorjamb. This armored security strike will add increased security to the weakest point of a locked hinged door, providing ease of mind while present, or away from home or office. Some mortising will be required for complete installation. Included with this item are the installation screws, one zinc-plated box strike and one brass-plated faceplate.

This box strike plate is constructed of steel and it comes plated in a brass finish. This security strike is designed to replace a standard strike plate for maximum security. Installation of this strike strengthens a locked door with four 3 in. long screws that attach to the jack/trimmer stud to help prevent kick-ins. Some mortising and pilot hole drilling may be required for flush install.
